I have always had a passion for helping others. After a degree in Sociology at the University of Guelph, I ventured into community mental health work. This fed my interest in people's journey of wellness in mind, body and spirit.
After personally experiencing the benefits of the combination of acupuncture and energy work, a fire was ignited within me to pursue a career in alternative health. I have taken the skills and experience I gained while working in the mental health field and integrated them into my healing practice. I aim to create a safe space to help people feel at ease - comfortable sharing whatever issues they may be facing while also exploring their deepest desires, fears, anxieties, callings and dreams. I am passionate about assisting people to tap into their innate vitality and wellness. I am a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. I completed my acupuncture training at the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Esoteric Studies. Some continuing studies have included training with Dr. Mikio Sankey (the original facilitator of Esoteric Acupuncture), completing the Pregnancy and Acupuncture Certificate Training with Dr. Debra Betts, and learning Modern Cupping Therapy (MCT) with Shannon Gilmartin. MCT courses have included: Fundamentals of MCT, Therapeutic Cupping for Lymphatic Drainage, Advanced Applications of MCT, Magnets and Therapeutic Cupping and MCT for Pathology & Scar Tissue. The energy healing provided is a combination of Reiki, Advanced Energy Healing and Intuitive Energy Healing. |
Land Acknowledgement:
I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional land of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples.
